Projekt 1065 follows an Irish boy named Michael, living in Berlin in 1943, during the Holocaust and World War II.

A bit of a disappointment. His father is the ambassador to Ireland and what Michael O'Shaunessey doesn't know until the night of Kristallnacht is that his parents are spies.

He is part of Hitler's Youth and the reader will gauge a glimpse of how the young men act and what they truly believe in. It was very original and seemed very educational. Michael joins the Hitler Youth, like most young boys did in Germany at the time.

When I got to the end I thought I had the whole book figured out. by I could not put it down! Horrible things did happen, but it wasn't presented in a 'shock & awe' format. When I first opened it, the book cut straight to the action, while still giving background to the story. by

by Like the other boys at his school, Michael is a member of the Hitler Youth. I am 62 years old, a historian and WWII buff, and his book, though meant for younger readers, is an absolute, can't put down read for all ages, I am sorry I finished. It's fast all of the time and you never get a rest.

However, given the lack of character development, the lack of believability, and general poor writing, I think zero stars is actually quite fair.This book was interesting through out and made me wonder a lot. by Scholastic Press kids as young as 11 were recruited as Hilter youth. Exciting, suspenseful.

This is a fast read and I imagine most middle school readers will like it, full of adventure and about a thirteen-year-old Irish boy stuck in Berlin during World War II. George and Harold link up in kindergarten to reduce a quartet of vicious bullies to giggling insanity with a relentless series of pranks involving shaving cream, spiders, effeminate spoof text messages and friendship bracelets.
