Overall our stay and experience was better than we could have ever imagined and are already in the works to plan our next visit.over all the hotel and staff are excellent...there are no lifts and quite a few flights of stairs so be aware what floor you are on if you book a room..also the aqua spa was not really up to much although we were not only there for that reason.. we did not book any treatments so cant comment on that....food was great ..the atmosphere fantastic..Would highly recommend staying here.
Will definitely come back. Near to Edinburgh and the local area we took the train into Edinburgh from Newtongrange (5 minute taxi ride)to save on trying to find a parking place. The shower was powerful even if the bath could do with being recoated or replaced.

Had an AMAZING experience in dalhousie castle. We then were woken a few hours later by a violent brawl in the room next door that lasted over 2 hours we barely slept. Dining in the dungeon for dinner and breakfast was OUTSTANDING an amazing ambience. Spa treatments very good. At breakfast they served the wrong drinks after waiting an hour. But once I found Dalhousie Castle that was it. Once I started doing the research on getting married I found no shortages of castles. They held possession of Dalhousie longer than any other family has retained possession of a castle in Scotland. Also we were charged for drinks at the bar when we didn’t even visit the bar so you must get charged for going through the door?
