This walk takes about half an hour and you can stock up on supplies there and have a beer or few in some of the excellent pubs. 293 were here. The town that has a lot of history, some of which that can be checked out at their unique heritage park, with mini replica structures to represent the town and how it used to be, (tours are available upon request.) There is a really clean toilet block down in the car park for the beach which is really close to the camp site.There is also a shop/ cafe that serves up brekkies and tea and coffee in the morning from 8.30 if you want that kind of thing and they also sell a huge array of Pembrokeshire Coast conservation area memorabilia, beach towels and games. The Staff are totally helpful, I had a site booked for the long weekend in aug and had to cancel ,so I canceled within 7 days and received a full refund.. then by chance I got time off and tried to Rebook but they were full..

With a population of around 2,000, this is by far the smallest city in Britain – more of a one-street village with a handful of tea rooms, souvenir shops and restaurants, a flower-filled village square and just one proper pub.

There’s no reception (don’t bother to book, when you get there, just ask for Famous Pete who runs the site) but there is “Ma Sime's Surf Hire” (surf hire and lessons) on site in August and a café in the beach car park. Quite unfortunate as our entire weekend was a “bust” and no extra customer service was possible....... just running a business I guess but disappointing just the same...... probably will never be back. road before the entrance.

Maintenance services are not provided from mid-September until the campground reopens.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Pete, who owns the site, was really friendly and helpful (you have to find him first though!) Our community is also famous for their annual events, which include a mini music jamboree hosted every June and Mud Bog racing weekend event held every July. The cabin is clean, all you need for cooking, barbecuing, utensils are available! The fields were really tidy and well kept and there is a shower block onsite with about 4 or 5 showers. For such a sleepy little place, the city gets pretty busy in summer when the hoards descend on Whitesands Beach just a few miles to the northwest. We have 2 parks for the kids, a volleyball net and a driving Whitesands Camping is a very low-key place; open from Easter through the end of October, this runway-shaped strip of land has just a shower hut and toilets at one end and the beach at the other; a magnet for hardy, winter surfers and summer bathers alike.
