By far the best release in 2017: very punchy, crystal clear pressing, wide dynamic range, slick and chic at the same time Silver Eye is the seventh studio album by English electronic music duo Goldfrapp, released on 31 March 2017 by Mute Records. I only recently discovered GOLDFRAPP, actually while checking out Chromatics (much darker) for a friend. Some headroom between the loudest parts and the 0db ceiling certainly wouldn't have been harmful to the music.
Their "Black Cherry" CD was my introduction & in rapid succession, I purchased "Supernature" and "Silvereye" CDs, quickly followed with the DVD "Wonderful Electric", which I only recently received & have only watched part of "Felt Mountain" - which is entirely different from the above-mentioned releases; more ethereal).

Fantastic album. Great pressing. However, it confounds me that some of the singles aren't remixed more and available as CDs (I only listen to tangible CD / vinyl).
Silver Eye is probably the best album in terms of balancing her pop range. It weaves together the two strands of Goldfrapp’s music like never before. I find that 'Silver Eye' is a great achievement by a band so beloved.
No surface noise at all between tracks. The sound of this album is very compressed and mushy, which harms the spherical parts. Almost as if it has become the duo's new found sound after so many different directions over the years. The band name is taken from lead Allison Goldfrapp's last name. Data Correct Silver Eye ’s more esoteric numbers are even more impressive. The album itself is wonderful. Very clean and crisp sound.
